Bannisters Yard

A two storey office block and adjoining warehouse was constructed over an historic landfill site. The primary structure consisted of steel portal frames in the longitudinal direction, with localised X-braced bays providing stability in the opposite direction. Precast concrete planks formed the first floor office slab. The warehouse floor structure consisted of a suspended rc slab spanning between rc ground beams. A piled solution was adopted to suit the unusual ground strata.
